Charlotte Real Estate-But it's Red and Green!
Hey everybody, it is Eli Magids coming to you from Charlotte, North Carolina. I just came out of a house here in Charlotte and the house is selling for about $775,000, nice home, big piece of property, nice neighborhood. I walked through the house and I looked through the house with my clients and while it’s a very, very nice house, the only thing I remember about the house is that it’s red and green. Every room is red and green. It’s a vibrant red and green. It’s not like very muted down, it’s way out there. And the furniture is red and green. I spoke to the listing Charlotte Real Estate agent of the home and just kinda gave her the feedback that the house is red and green and she said that it’s very traditional now. So I pretty much told her, I said, “If you want to appeal to as many people as possible, somehow I think the color should be neutralized. You know, maybe paint the walls beige, or cover the furniture with a cover so that it’s not so prominent that the only thing that you remember it’ s red and green.” And my clients agreed with me.So what’s going to happen is the house is not going to sell the way it is and they’re going to lower the price $20,000 or $30,000. I think it’s a lot cheaper to spend $500 or $600 on brown or beige paint than to lower your house value by $20,000 or $30,000 because it’s not sold. Just my opinion.Any questions, comments about homes for sale in Charlotte NC, please feel free to comment, call me, email me, whatever at eli@elimagids.com, website, www.elimagids.com.I am Eli Magids. I am keeping it real. Thanks for watching and I'll talk to you guys later.
